oh its good to see you forgave the person in lycra, who do you think you are? why dont you just drink your coffee somewhere else or better still pull your head in, at least they are out getting exercise.
I forgave the lycra clad fashion disaster on SUNDAY morning but when i see the same disaster in the same cafe on a MONDAY i have to wonder, why oh why? do you possess a mirror?
i suppose Wanaka is too small in population to get cycle lanes for our children on their school routes. Maybe some just need some good road rule lessons?
im wondering if graffiti artists are getting worse as the years go on....by that i mean they actually have no artistic skills whatsoever. Give up you pillocks!
Apparently the Wanaka Library is a very popular place for back packers in the winter. Is it the books? Is it the service? No. It's because it's warm.
who is gonna be Wanakas first perfect woman for the year? Will she look good for TV? It is a TV show this time right?
Singles ball - gr8t idea. Would be nice to meet a single guy who is interested in more than just rugby and shooting things, and can hold a decent conversation. Maybe I'm pushin **** uphill round here tho...
I am single why was the poll not yes or no i want to go to the ball but not to meet married men i want to go to a SINGLES BALL i am 53 years old
about the poll WHAT PART OF SINGLES DONT YOU UNDERSTAND & I go to the bullock bar quite often WHERE ARE THE SINGLE MEN THERE
Another couple of reasons to make May the best month of the year in Wanaka. No crowds and twenty degrees on my back porch yesterday!
great to see the daily poll finally gave us the TRUE indication of where people library loyalty lies. LONG LIVE LIBRARIANS!
We are a fast growing town and it is the most crazt idea to make changes to our library. QLDC plans are a backward step.
i honestly think some people park like idiots on purpose in this town. Whether its New World or Mt Iron car parks, there is always someone that demonstrates all that is wrong with peoples parking education.
UKTV filming at Bully Bar on Friday nght. Local girls lookin good and PERFECT as always...lol
snow in May never stays. Snow in June still too soon. Snow in July on that you can rely. Snow in August.............(no idea) :)
In case you didnt notice while visiting, Wanaka is a ski resort in winter. Visitors come from all over the world. Its the life blood of the town. As the opening nears there's a buzz of excitement. While you endure your Auckland traffic and city jungle, we'll endure the mountains, lakes and the outdoors in this backwater that you referred too.
can i have a woop woop for the wanaka land sar boys and their partners. yep dont forget the partners, they also have to change stuff at a moments notice. what a team you all make :)
i brought my boat up for four weeks over Xmas, used it twice. I am here now (without boat) and the lake is pristine. WHY OH WHY!!!!!!
The streets at night are fine, its just some of the bars that leave me uneasy. I blame all the drugs that the young ones are on. Sometimes they look demonic.
I have just spent a week in your lovely little backwater town and all anyone could talk about when i was shopping or mooching was the coming ski season. I think the people of Wanaka need to live in "the now". Pinning hopes on events that haven't yet happened is always a dangerous affair. I wish you all the best.
in my eyes Ken Rings stock decreased with the earthquake prediction debacle. should have kept his mouth shut.
Forget the library, forget the council, the news is Nonu injured! First win for the Highlanders coming up.
Im from England. Our cricket team is going to rip the Black Craps a new one. Libraries forever!
Lets invent something for the moaners to whine about. How about three new big scary non bio degradable tyrannosaurus rexs for the dinosaur park that yell out "we're livin' the dream' every 5 minutes. That should get them going.
Remember how taking the roadside rubbish pickups was going to destroy Wanaka as we know it? Town seems to be going OK. Now the same non-NZ speaking people are up in arms about the library. Seems the council is OK when those people get what they want, but as soon as the council decides to do what we voted them in for - to run Wanaka, then they 'don't listen to the people'. A year down the road all the library issues will be forgotten and our English imports will have to look for something else to winge about.
can we move on from council dramas. What will be will be. Surely someone has found a big mushroom we could all talk about.
I thought there was upposed to be a fire drill near mt Iron on monday? If there was it wasnt very loud cos i heard nothing
i just heard that Amber is leaving Radio Wanaka :( Good luck to her and whatever she is going to do.
my mates TV reception died yesterday. You would think he had known it was happeneing but he didnt. Where has he been?
Another wonderful Anzac Day and wreath ceremony - shame about the mother in the front row who let her kids jump all over the cenotaph during the service - very disrespectful and rude.
do you really think War should be celebrated over Treaty signing? hope others dont think that.
