Race 4 of The Kathmandu Riverrun series was held on Saturday. The final race was run over 14 km from Glendhu Bay to Roy's Bay Overall series winners were Mike Coombe and Kelly Spaans. The Kathmandu Riverrun Trail Series has allowed competitors to explore the region’s recently developed tracks – the Hawea River Track, the Clutha River Track, the Damper Bay/Waterfall Creek Track and the Outlet Track. The tracks are all lakeside or riverside and all are challenging in their own respects have provided a memorable experience for athletes, from first timers to experienced runners.
This week an astronaut by the name of Chris Hadfield went viral on You Tube singing David Bowie's Space Oddity from the international space station. Not to be out done his name sake, space junky, singer and Ritual Cafe co owner Chris Hadfield joined Radio Wanaka's Bradley Craig to perform a mighty fine version Space Oddity live on air.
